The vote has been taken regarding the allowance increases.

A surprising development today was that the leader of the Lib Dem group declared that he worked very hard as a Wiltshire Councillor and so would NOT support the motion to rescind the allowance increase.

The debate ran on for well over an hour with a recorded vote at its conclusion.

The voting record will be published in due course but the motion was lost by 60 votes to 24 - i.e. the Conservative cabal (and Lib Dem group leader) at County Hall will be keeping their massive increases.
