Who would have thought it?

Wiltshire Fire & Rescue service has offered 'words of advice'.

'Never leave lit candles or oil burners unattended.

Keep hair and loose clothing away.

Make sure they are extinguished before you go out or go to bed.

Don't try to move a lit candle or oil burner.

The foil containers of tea lights can be very hot.'

If people need to be told this, words fail me....

However, do be aware that candles are a major cause of fires and do need to be treated with care.
