Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

An extra meeting has been added for Trowbridge.
The Police Authority are consulting to obtain views about the best option for their reconfiguration. As I am sure you know, the Home Secretary is asking for changes to enable police authorities to be "fit for purpose" to deal with serious crime and terrorism.

The Police Authority has just confirmed that it will be holding an event in Trowbridge. This is at very short notice as they need views before 1 December.

A meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at West Wiltshire District Council at 7.30pm on Monday, 28 November 2005.

The police appreciate that this is short notice but are hoping that as many councillors as possible will attend on Monday. They will also be inviting those people that normally attend police consultancy groups and so I presume that all members of the public are welcome to attend.

Please note that this is a police consultation event arranged by themselves but hosted by WWDC.
