Persimmon Homes (allegedly) comes up with new idea.
First of all may I make two things crystal clear. 1) I believe in open government and that is why I am making this posting - it is not meant to be of either an 'anti' or 'pro' road nature. 2) I have not been able to check the provenance of the papers I received today, so it could just be a hoax (but I think not).

There appears to be two main points to the document.

The first is 'public knowledge' in that WWDC is still negotiating the Section 106 agreement with Persimmon, and so planning permission has not yet been issued.

The second is more intriguing as it claims that Persimmon has contacted the County Council (WCC) with a scheme that would remodel the Horse Road end of the route. To avoid the parcel of land owned by WCC, the alternative Persimmon 'idea' would not feature the original 'large' roundabout. Instead a new 'small' one would be built in Horse Road roughly to the side of 120 Wyke Road.

It is an interesting idea but I raise two points. a) Why has no one contacted Hilperton Parish Council or either of your District Councillors about this? and b) Does our County Councillor (Sarah Content) know about this? If she doesn't, why hasn't she been keeping abreast of what is going on at WCC? If she does, why hasn't she 'gone public'?
