The show is a family fun event run by a voluntary committee and is non-profit making, with the aims being to provide a fantastic family fun day, educate the public with key community safety messages, and raise money for local charities connected with the blue light services.

All of the proceeds from The Emergency Services Show benefit charities that support the work of the 'blue light' organisations, and tens of thousands of pounds have been donated since the event started in 2005.
