A new planning application was submitted recently.

A planning appplication for two houses on the existing beer garden/play area and car park has been submitted to Wiltshire Council.

As I live adjacent to the pub (and drink there) I don't feel that it would be appropriate for me to use this web site to make my thoughts public.

However, I would draw your attention to the part of the Design & Access Statement which says 'The business will now be orientated towards providing Hotel accomodation only with nine guest rooms, guest sitting room, kitchen and dining room.'

Please note the phrase 'Hotel accomodation only'. It would therefore seem that the intention is to close the premises as a pub thus justifying the fact that only nine public car parking spaces will be provided if this application is permitted.
