Rumours continue to circulate about the Gap.

Whilst you can never say "Never" in planning terms, the following are facts - not supposition, not guesswork, not part of some 'hidden agenda', not part of a conspiracy.

FACT ONE. The only development in the Gap which has planning permission is the road and associated work such as bunds and the balancing ponds.

FACT TWO. No houses have planning permission and no application has been made for any either.

FACT THREE. No planning applications have been made for a school, a McDonalds or anything else anywhere in the Gap.

FACT FOUR. None of the Gap is zoned for development in the 2026 Local Plan and none of the Gap is within the development policy limit for either Hilperton or Trowbridge.

Please don't listen to the rumour mongers who seem to take great delight in upsetting people.

Whilst I don't have a crystal ball to look into the future, I do know what the current planning status of the land is.
