Temporary Closure of: B3105 (Part) Church Street, Hilperton (Ref: TTRO 3657)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
B3105 (Part) Church Street, Hilperton; from its junction with Hill Street to its junction with Trowbridge Road and Devizes Road.
To enable: Wales and West Utilities to carry out works to replace a gas main in the carriageway.
Alternative route: Via B3105 Trowbridge Road – A361 Hilperton Road – The Halve – Union Street – C372 Timbrell Street – B3106 Islington – B3106 The Down – B3106 Canal Road – Horse Road – B3105 Hill Street and vice versa.
The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs and access will be maintained for residents.
This Order will come into operation on 19 January 2015 and the closure is anticipated to be required until 13 March 2015.
The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
I'm surprised that this work isn't being left until after the HRR is open - that way, through traffic might 'forget' to ever go back to using the 'old road'...
