The closure of Church Street will cause problems.

Whilst Church Street is closed from mid January, there will be disruption to the bus services.

Wiltshire Council is working hard to minimise the level of disruption and the following is the likely scenario but it is, of course, subject to change.

Through services to Frome and Chippenham.

There is not enough 'slack' in the timetable to allow the buses to come in and out of the village. It is likely therefore that any would-be passengers will have to make their way to Fieldways/Hilperton Drive and catch the bus there.

T1.

This will not operate on the Trowbridge Road part of the route and so residents will have to walk to Victoria Road or Greenhill Gardens.

From the Horse Road direction, the T1 will loop round Greenhill Gardens and then go back towards Horse Road. If Greenhill Gardens is not passable due to parked vehicles, the service will not run as the alternative idea of reversing into Whaddon Lane to turn round is not acceptable to WC highways department.

It will therefore be vital that access through Greenhill Gardens is maintained at all times when the buses are running.
