Trowbridge cinema etc. moves a step closer?
Planning application for cinema on planning agenda for 16 Feb.
Clive Miller & Associates Ltd., acting for the County Council, have submitted a planning application for a multiplex cinema, ten-pin bowling and associated commercial leisure and hotel facilities. In addition the plan includes the construction of a public library, offices and residential development. There would also be a footbridge over the Biss, plus a total of 713 parking spaces.
The application site is in the area of the present library and WCC precinct plus the Court Street car park (which is WWDC land).
The application will go to the planning committee on February 16th, where the officers' recommendation is to permit the application subject to a) legal agreements, and b) subject to the approval of the Secretary of State.
