Council tax levels for 06/07.
Council tax levels are now set for all except WWDC.
Band D levels for the coming year will be:
Wiltshire County Council £929.25
West Wilts District Council £134.26 (subject to confirmation at full council on Feb 22nd)
Police £132.84
Fire £52.80
Parish Rates:
Hilperton £10.99
Semington £10.38
Staverton £28.01
My view of the proposed WWDC increase is that 4.99% is too much, bearing in mind the unexpectedly high settlement from Westminster and the apparent waste that is occuring at Bradley Road. It will be interesting to see whether an alternative budget is proposed and, if so, what the % increase would be compared to the services provided.
