Another cahnge of plan...

When I was told that part of Wyke Road was due to close at the same time as Church Street, I contacted the WC streetworks team. 

I was told that the simultaneous closures were being investigated and I have now been advised that the work in Church Street will be deferred.

The new planned closure date is not until October by when the HRR will surely be open.  Apart from meaning that there should be no effect on traffic, it will have the benefit of forcing all through traffic to use the HRR, rather than coming through the village, for about six weeks.

Hopefully, the motorists will then continue to use the HRR when the 'old' road is reopened.
