Is the rumour correct?

Rumour has it that Jane Scott is destined for the House of Lords.

As with all rumours it could prove to be a load of tosh, but who knows? 

If she is ennobled there would be nothing to stop her continuing as the leader of WC but would she want to or have the time?  But who would take over the reins?  One or two names spring to mind but with even more financial cuts on the way from central government, it would be a bit of a poison chalice.
