"I read with interest the letter about Devizes Rd.

I agree that the road is a rat run and I do object to bigger commercial vans using it. I was having a delivery of some compost from Hills which required a lorry and trailer and the driver told me that although he had his right indicator on to turn into our drive someone overtook him on the outside (wrong side of the road). Fortunately he saw him in his mirror so an accident was avoided. THIS TIME!!!I do try to warn anyone coming from the Chippenham end to be extra careful as quite often traffic doesn't stop for us to turn into our drive but there is an accident waiting to happen one of these days.

To close the road at the top end as I suggested would solve quite a lot of our problems (not half way as that would cut our end off from being part of the village)."
