The Wiltshire Council Western Area Planning Committee approved the first 'diesel farm' in west Wiltshire yesterday.
As the country phases out carbon burning coal power stations, WAPC says 'Yes' to a 'stand-by' generator project which will burn carbon based diesel fuel! It will be akin to having five railway diesel engines running at full speed pumping out filth into the atmosphere for an unknown period of time on unknown days - madness.
I asked for a 'recorded vote' on the issue so you know who to contact if you don't feel that the open countryside is the place for a bank of diesel generators, thousands of litres of diesel fuel and a 4.5 metre (15 feet) high fence...
