WWDC planning committee meets Thursday 01 June.
Two Paxcroft Ward items are on the agenda.
The two 'local' items are a request to discharge the Section 106 agreement for medical facilities at Paxcroft Mead, and an application for the link road in Staverton.
The request to allow the possible medical centre site to become a public house is recommended for approval by officers at WWDC. The matter has not been helped by the recent planning appeal decision, nor by the, now expected, uselessness of the PCT. I am still minded that the medical facility site should be retained, but I'm not optimistic that other members of the committee will share my view.
With regard to the Staverton link road, the developers already have outline permission to build the road, but a detailed application was refused by the WWDC planning committee as it was felt that it failed to deal with Staverton's traffic problems. Persimmon have appealed against that decision and an enquiry is scheduled for August.
The new application seems to be better and has the approval of Staverton Parish Council.
If anybody would like to discuss these applications before the meeting, or would like a copy of the relevant reports, please get in touch with me.
