The following information has come from Trowbridge Town Council.

The town council sent the following at 9.45am on the morning of the Wiltshire Council meeting last Tuesday. I have edited some parts out of it.

It went to the following Wiltshire Councillors:- Nick Blakemore, Dennis Drewett, Desna Allen, Jon Hubbard, Fleur de Rhe-Philipe, Melody Thompson, Jerry Wickham, John Thomson, Anna Cuthbert, Atiqul Hoque, Baroness Scott, Linda Packard, Mark Packard, Mary Douglas, Richard Clewer, John Walsh, Dick Tonge and Magnus Macdonald.  I presume that is the full list but the Town Clerk has not confirmed that to me yet.

It seems a curious mix of WC members and it will be interesting to check how these councillors voted on the various proposals...

'Trowbridge Town Council would request your support for the proposals and suggestions included and highlighted in the attached.

I'm sure that the WC monitoring officer will say that this is simply lobbying, but it must seem a little odd to members of the public that this type of message is sent to councillors forty five minutes before a meeting is due to start.
