Best Kept Village results.
The Best Kept Village competition results are now out.
Semington entered the 'medium size village' class, and they came third equal (with Steeple Ashton) on 79 points. Horningsham were first with 92 points, whilst the runners-up were Sutton Veny on 86 points.
Hilperton entered as a 'large village' and came second on 81 points. They were pipped to the post by Bratton who scored just one point more. Holt were third with 75 points. This was the first time that Hilperton had entered the competition and they did remarkably well for a first attempt.
My congatulations to the villagers and parish councils of these villages for the effort that they put in.
