If my understanding of the law is correct, this means that anyone wanting to file a village green application now has only one year to do so.

Of course, if a 'trigger event' (such as a planning application) has occured on the area of land, then no application can be made until a 'termination event' (such as a planning application being refused and all appeals are exhausted) has taken place.
