Following my article here, and the on-line article in the Wiltshire Times, WC has clarified the answer given at a recent planning committee meeting.
It would seem that my piece on 24th November caught the attention of the powers-that-be at County Hall and I was invited to 'pop in for a chat'. At the meeting it became clear that the information supplied by WC a week or so back could have been better phrased.
Anyway, the gist was that windfall greenfield housing permissions ARE included in the next year supply figures and are also used to supplement the current figure if a planning appeal is fought.
WC actually issued a Members' Briefing on the topic which goes into far more detail. If you would like a copy please contact me.
I'm pleased that the matter has been clarified and we all now know that the policy is as we understood originally.
