The Sunday Times had an interesting article a couple of days back.
My thanks to the resident who flagged it up to me, the link is http://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/rural-army-masses-behind-hero-farmer-in-homes-battle-jt2tpzbr9
The lack of the dreaded five year land supply allows every man and his dog to try and get housing in areas not allocated in the Wiltshire Core Strategy. It is a ploy well known to local councillors but, so it would seem, the Tory grandees at County Hall don't seem too bothered.
It has been suggested that the Tories receive too much funding from the developers to rock the boat. Surely not?
Also, it is interesting to see the quote in The Sunday Times from a company called Gladman Developments who was the only developer to comment on an early consultation document for the Hilperton Neighbourhood Plan. I wondered why at the time, but now I lnow!
The Core Strategy cost £millions yet it is a constant battle to keep its policies in force.
