Hello dictatorship.
As you may have gathered, I have no allegiance to any political party.
In essence I believe that, in local government, they are all as bad as each other. Contrary to what some may think I am not anti Tory or anti Lib Dem. I am, however, anti dictatorship.
I believe that a good Local Authority has representatives of the people who hold a cross-section of views. Currently, County Hall is basically an elected dictatorship and those who are part of the dictatorship need to learn humility.
However, change is 'easy'. All we need to change this situation are three stages.
1. Good, honest candidates stand for election.
2. Residents elect these candidates.
3. Once elected the candidates are true to their word.
Surely this is simple? Would now be the time to start planning for the 2021 local elections and see a more open form of governance at County Hall?
