Not unexpected news - i.e. it's bad....
The draft Developmemt Plan Document is now on-line.
Without going into detail, WC wants to allocate 16.33ha of land for approx 205 dwellings. This is ALL the land west of Elizabeth Way (the Trowbridge side of the HRR).
Ironically, Hilperton is regarded as being in the 'remainder' of the Trowbridge community area and this has already provided more housing than required in the Core Strategy. In other words, WC is hoping to use Hilperton to supply the housing which has been targeted for Trowbridge rather than the surrounding area.
The fight starts now....

There is now a ten week consultation process and the final report is due to go to WC Cabinet in March 2018.
It would be good if the Neighbourhood Plan could get to Reg 16 stage before then.
