The scheme was withdrawn following objections from planning officers to the details of the scheme.

In the view of the case officer, "There were a number of issues with regard to the position of the site relative to the boundaries of the village, accessibility, both for vehicles and pedestrians, actual site layout details, and a conflict between the proposed mix of dwellings and those actually justified by the Parish needs survey."

As this scheme had the support of both the Parish Council and local people (unusual for this sort of idea) it will be interesting to see whether the applicant tries again.
