Exchange a 'normal' bulb for an energy saving one.
The event will run from 11am to 2pm, and has been organised by Wiltshire Energy Efficiency Advice Centre as part of Energy Saving Week. During the day, people will be invited to swap a used or broken tungsten filament light bulb for an energy saving version.

Lighting accounts for over 10% of an average home’s electricity bill, as traditional bulbs waste a lot of their energy by turning it into heat.

Each energy saving bulb can reduce your electricity bill by up to £9 a year, and they last up to 12 times longer than ordinary light bulbs. If every household in Britain installed three energy saving bulbs, enough energy would be saved in a year to supply every streetlight in the country.
