By-election result.
The result of the Warminster by-election is now known.
Warminster West District Ward.
Roger Coveney Lib Dem 448
Philippa Ridout Cons 572 ELECTED
Michael Turner Ind 332
Spoilt votes 23
Turnout 21.25%
I admit to not being very well 'up' on local politics in the Warminster area, but I'm told that the Lib Dems thought that they had a good chance of taking the seat. What is most dis-appointing, however, must be the very low turnout. Perhaps it was too cold, or was it simple apathy?
