Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: West Ashton Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with A361 County Way to its junction with Leap Gate.
To enable: Tarmac to undertake carriageway resurfacing work including installation of road markings and associated works.
Alternative route: via West Ashton Road (unaffected length) – A350 – A361 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 21 May 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30 until 12 June 2018.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.
Quite who WC expects to use the 'official' diversion is unclear. The new part of Leapgate has not been adopted by Wiltshire Council and so cannot be identified as part of the diversion route - but I expect it to be even busier than it is now!
