The updated District Plan proposes extending Paxcroft Mead by a further 500+ homes. In addition to the new houses, it is proposed that there would be a new primary school, a shop, public open space and a direct road link to West Ashton Road basically by extending Leapgate across Green Lane.
One of the main issues for the District Council is to seek views about the location of the proposed primary school as there are two alternative ideas. Information will be available on the WWDC web site (www.westwiltshire.gov.uk), at Trowbridge Town Council and the District Council’s Bradley Road offices.
In addition three public exhibitions will be held located at: a)Trowbridge Lending Library (24-30 May during normal opening hours) b)Hilperton Village Hall (1 June 5-7pm and 4 June 8-10pm) and c)Paxcroft Mead Community Centre (9-11 June 2004 8-11pm and 12-13 June 2004 12-2.30pm).
