Your Independent councillor for Hilperton.
The Hilperton Neighbourhood Development Plan (HNDP) has taken a major step forward.
The Examiner has issued her report listing the changes which she wants to see. The report will be looked at by Wiltshire Council which is responsible for the publication of the plan. They will then amend it before submitting it to the Steering Group (SG) for their ratification.
Hopefully, the referendum will take place in early autumn.
The HNDP is not as ‘firm’ regarding some parts of the parish as many members of the SG, including me, would have liked but the consultant was VERY firm in his advice.
Wiltshire Council considered the revised Housing Site Allocations Plan (HSAP) at its meeting in mid-June at County Hall.
An amendment was debated which would have seen the proposed allocation for the western part of the Gap, along with other ‘green field’ sites surrounding Trowbridge, removed from the plan. This was defeated in a vote but, surprisingly, only by roughly 40/20 votes.
The HSAP will now be submitted to the Secretary of State who will appoint an Inspector to examine the whole thing in public.
The Church Street parking changes have been reconsidered by Wiltshire Council and a new consultation will commence soon.
