An update on its situation.

Anyone using the bridge could be worried.....

The bridge looks quite bad from the 'road' part of it.  If you actually walk underneath it, it looks even worse!

I have been in touch with Wiltshire Council about it as things have got rather quiet recently; the last news was that it might be replaced with Whaddon being cut off for a few days.

WC now says "The bridge is owned and maintained by Canal & Rivers Trust, they are aware of and monitoring the cracks which are due to settlement of the approaches, the bridge itself is fine."

So, it would seem that the appearance of the bridge doesn't reflect any actual damage!!
