Michael Ancram MP speaks out against WCC Unitary Bid.
Michael Ancram voiced his opposition to the County Council's bid for unitary status in an e-mail. His view was then supported by the Conservative County Councillor Tony Molland, Chairman of the Regulatory Commitee.
The split amongst Wiltshire Conservatives is widening with more members speaking out against the unitary bid sent into the Secretary of State on Thursday 25th January.
In response to the WCC press release sent out on Friday, leading Conservative MP, Michael Ancram said in a widely received e-mail "For all the fine words (with echoes of 1972!) this proposal remains a great error, which I will certainly try to see rejected by the Government."
