....that she will be standing down.

In an emotional speech today, Jane Scott announced her 'good bye' date as the 9th July.

Group Leaders, including myself, responded to her 'resignation' speech and she received a warm round of applause from all councillors.  The time and dedication she gives to WC, far in excess of the allowance she receives, is a true reflection on her love for the county - it's just a shame that her politics are sometimes somewhat extreme!

Much as I disagreed with many of her decisions, she was always open in what she did.  Whoever follows her will hopefully keep this transparency.
