Your Independent councillor for Hilperton.
The parish now has its first defibrillator installed at the village hall in Whaddon Lane. It is under the porch of the main entrance and is available 24/7. Hopefully it will never be needed, but it is there if required.
The Memorandum of Undertaking has been signed by the parish council with the South West Ambulance service for the second de-fib unit – this will be installed at the Tin Church in Horse Road as soon as it is received from the ambulance service.
The new parking restrictions saw lines painted/removed on the 28th May.
The Conservative Group of Wiltshire Council is going to see a new leader in July this year. There seems no obvious choice, but I am sure that the would-be leaders are getting their ‘election manifesto’ ready to put forward!! Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the council will get a new Leader as Jane Scott was elected to that job for four years back in May 2017 and so is allowed to continue in that job if she wishes to.
The village fete is on the afternoon of Saturday 15th June at the village hall playing field. Hopefully the weather will be good and plenty of people will attend.
