Yesterday I had a meeting with our MP.
It was an informail 'natter' over a coffee and may well be repeated at regular intervals.
Amongst the topics discussed were the traffic noise from Elizabeth Way, funding and sighting for SEND schools, house building, car parking and an issue with under-housing in the village.
The possibilty of finding a home for a 'scouts hut' was also touched on.
Hopefully, this was the first of a series of meetings. If you have any issues you would like raised at a future meeting, do let me know. Michelle said that she was planning to hold a sugery in Hilperton soon and so, of course, you can pop along and seek her assistance in person.
I know that she is very interested in the provision of de-fib units and she seemed impressed that the parish council has installed the first one. The second is due to be placed at the Tin Church next week, whilst work on siting three more is in the pipe line.
