My request for WC to clear the RoWs has not had the desired effect.

Due to various items being blown around by the wind, I asked WC to at least make sure that the Rights of Way were kept clear of mess.

WC has looked at what is happening and has advised as follows:-

"My colleagues in the Rights of Way team have now checked the area and we have had a chat with Environmental Health on the issue.

"Given the circumstances we are going to put an emergency closure on the footpath HILP5 from the B3105 to its junction with HILP6.

We obviously do not take this decision lightly but until the travellers move on any attempts to cleanse the area are likely to be unsuccessful."

This is obviously not what I wanted but is, I think, inevitable.  At least it will save people being sworn at when they use the path.

The agent for the landowner is continuing to resolve the issue.  When the travellers have left, HGT llp will be faced with a large clean-up bill.
