Members have received the following from the TAB chairman.
'Please note that after discussions with members and officers, it has now been decided that all grant applications will be deferred to our January meeting. This will allow us the necessary time to give full consideration to the two main items on our agenda (Rough Sleeping and the East Wing Site).'
This is the first time in over ten years that I have known a grant application to be 'deferred' after the agenda has been published.
Hopefully it is a sign that other members, in addition to me, were uneasy with Trowbridge Town Council trying to get its hands on £20k of our (the Trowbridge area which includes the villages) money.
Perhaps the time has come when TAB should pass its 'grant money' to the five parishes according to their number of residents? That way, any 'repeat applicants' could justify themselves to the local population?
