Paxcroft telecomm mast latest.
At last, a willingness to talk?
Below is a letter sent to myself and Cllrs. Carbin and Content.
"Following some 11th hour discussions and the suggestion of two alternative sites (Hilperton Reservoir and the verge near the roundabout at the junction of Hilperton Drive (A361) & Trowbridge Road (B3105)) I have reported back to my clients who without prejudice to their current position have provided instructions to investigate these opportunities further.
I will be away from the office next week (on leave) and will set a day aside to visit the area during the week commencing 19th of March and to see Mr Westbury and perhaps yourselves.
I have already put a call into Wessex Water to confirm their willingness to accommodate our clients at the reservoir and will make similar enquiries of Wiltshire highways.
I would be grateful of any thoughts that you may have on either of these two options (and indeed any others; you may have collated a list of residents suggestions?) and in the interim I am instructed not to submit an application on the Ashton Road site to allow discussions of alternatives to develop.
It is our hope that we can work together (in so far as probity allows) to locate a mutually satisfactory solution and I look forward to speaking to you all during the week after next."
