A new Leader, a new idea.
Wiltshire Council’s Cabinet members have approved steps to make a proposed change to the Tier 1 senior leadership structure of the council.
Currently the council has three executive directors and the proposal would see this reduced to two.
The two roles would cover the themes of People and Place.
If approved and once implemented, the revised structure will also see the statutory roles of Director of Children’s Services (DCS) and statutory Director of Adult Social Services (DASS) designated to appropriate Directors at tier 2. This will ensure the two Executive Directors have the capacity needed to place a greater focus on strategic planning.
The final structure will be confirmed after 27 November following a period of formal consultation with the Executive Directors.
