The Old Bear pub (Staverton) is still open.
Despite the road closure the pub is open as normal.
If you are travelling from the Holt/Bradford on Avon direction you can get to the pub as usual.
If you are approaching from Hilperton/Trowbridge you can park on the main road by he rail bridge (there isn't any through traffic!) and then have a short walk across the bridge to the pub.
Whichever direction you approach from you will be sure, as usual, of a warm welcome.
