Still more housing for Paxcroft Mead?
A green space, a community use or housing?
This application seeks to build on land which was originally allocated to the local centre at Paxcroft Mead.
Planning officers are recommending permission subject to financial provisions for public transport, art and education.
The site was previously considered in 2002 by the old Central Area Committee. It asked for a consultation to be undertaken as the site was originally intended for community use. Over 80% of those replying supported the continuation of such a use with a number of suggestions as to what it should be.
As mentioned above, this application is for 'outline' permission only, and so there is no detail of the type or number of houses to be provided.
