Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Nomination papers had to be delivered by noon on 04 April.
The lists of candidates for both the District and Parish elections on May 3rd have been published and can be found at Elections 2007

In the new Ward of Avonside (Broughton Gifford, Hilperton, Holt, Staverton), you have a choice between one Independent (me), three Lib Dems (including Trevor Carbin) and three Conservatives. This Ward will return three councillors, so each elector has upto three votes (but you don't have to usr them all if you don't want to).

I find it a shame that the parties feel the need to 'fill the ballot paper' with their representatives. Other than your exisitng councillors (myself and Trevor) only two candidates actually live in the Ward that they profess to wanting to serve; the others live in Mere, Trowbridge or Bradford-on-Avon!!

Semington is now in Summerham Ward (together with Bulkington, Great Hinton, Keevil, and Steeple Ashton) where there is a straight fight between the Lib Dems and Tories.
