Having asked for £46k towards additional secondary school places, Wiltshire County Council now has other ideas and wanted the requirement discharged. Neither myself nor Trevor Carbin could quite see the logic in this and wondered whether it would set a very unhelpful precedent. We proposed deferral for further consideration/consultation and this was agreed.

Neither Trevor nor I could see the merit of this application which would cause a nuisance to local residents. We proposed refusal as the application is contrary to WWDC policy C38 and, after a short debate, the committee agreed with us. As with all planning matters, the applicant has the right to take this decision to appeal.
