Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Polling day for the new district council is 03rd May.
Those of you that live in Avonside Ward should, by now, have received my first two election leaflets and may have received something from the political party candidates (three Conservatives and three Lib Dems).

When you go to the polls (as I hope you will) you will have a maximum of three votes to use - you don't have to use them all.

If you are a 'dyed-in-the-wool' party supporter please ask yourself if all your party candidates deserve your support. Have you ever heard of them before? Do they live locally? Are they only a 'paper candidate' making up the numbers? If you aren't satisfied with their CV then please consider casting your third vote for your Independent candidate!

However, if, like me, you think that the party politicians are all pretty much the same (loyalty to the party comes before loyalty to those who elected them) then you may care to vote only for your Independent candidate as this will maximise the the chance of your having a truly independent and hard working councillor representing you at Bradley Road.
