Two Staverton issues have arisen.
Firstly, Food Convertors has decided to appeal the recent planning refusal by WWDC for an access and gateway off of Elm Close. Comments already made to WWDC will be passed on, but if you wish to add any further views you may write (in triplicate) to The Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/01 Kite Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN quoting reference APP/F3925/A/07/2045333 by 29 June. If you want to be advised of the decision you must ask the Inspector to notify you.

Secondly, the government has finally made its decision on the Staverton triangle site (across the canal from Airsprung). The WWDC planning committee had previously approved the site, but the government office called it in for a public inquiry. The results of this have now been announced, and the decision is that the development can go ahead, with a proviso that the affordable housing provided by the developers must be put on the site and not elsewhere. As this is WWDC policy it would almost certainly have happened anyway, so the inquiry seems to have achieved nothing except generate delay and expense. About par for the course for our current governemt!
