The full WWDC council met last night.
There were two items of local interest on the agenda.
There were two items of local interest.
The first was a petition of over 100 signatures worried about the future of free parking at the multi-storey car park in Trowbridge.
The second was a pair of dog control orders (to replace existing legislation) scheduled to come into force on 01 August.
The first of these makes it an offence not to 'poop scoop' if your dog fouls a pedestrianised area, a towpath or footpath, any cemetary, burial ground or churchyard, or any open space owned or maintained by the district council, the county council, a parish council or a housing association. In addition the car park and open space at Westbury White Horse was included as were The Common at Broughton Gifford and the two areas of Norrington Common.
The second order was to ban dogs from all play areas and The Centenary Field, Bulkington.
