Wiltshire Council (WC) has given a provisional date for when the draft Local Plan will come into the public domain – it should be the July cabinet meeting.
HAAG (Hilperton Area Action Group) continues its work to gather evidence relating to wildlife, traffic issues etc. which can form part of the ‘defence’ should WC decide to pursue the policy of dumping over 2,000 houses on Hilperton.
WC is now saying that the new ‘5 year housing land supply’ (5YHLS) figure might not be published until the end of May – this figure was due at the start of April. Until this new figure is published the ‘planning anarchy’ will continue with applications being made for development on plots of land which have never, previously, even been ‘offered’ for development by the owners.
As mentioned previously, the ‘lack’ of the up to date 5YHLS figure has a huge bearing on whether the Hilperton Neighbourhood Development Plan has ‘full’ status or not.
Another reminder that, for the coronation, the village hall will be holding a ‘family evening’ on Friday evening 5th May – more details on the village hall web site but the parish council is funding ‘free to use’ inflatables for the younger residents to use!
As last year, for the jubilee, HPC has gifted mugs to children at both the school and pre-school.
