What next?
Well, this area of Hilperton seems popular with would-be housebuilders and McDonald's!
Having given my thoughts on the McD application I felt I should do the same for the housing application.
Personally I am far from 'happy' with the revised application - one example being the 'bat corridor' at the eastern side of the site being too narrow.
However, presuming that the case officer is minded to 'permit', there seems little reason why WC could not now present it to a planning committee - the case officer cannot grant permission as I have 'called-in' the application. Whether it would go to Western Area Planning Committee or Strategic Planning Committee is a moot point. I would suggest the former, but I think that WC will opt for the latter.
In order that the applicant doesn't go to appeal for non-determination, I expect to see this matter go to committee in January or February next year.
As with the comments re McD, these are only my ponderings on the application.....
