Hilperton PC has decided that its precept needs to be increased. Based on a Band D property the increase will be about £1.40 A YEAR – about 3p a week.
HPC also has a vacancy for a councillor if you are interested; more details are on the PC notice boards.
WC has announced that it intends to place an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order on the by-ways between Hilperton and Semington. This would have the effect of banning all motorised vehicles unless they need access land directly off the byway. It has taken far too long for WC to make a decision on this, but it will be interesting to see whether this solves the problem.
WC will meet next month to decide on its precept for 24/25. Expect the maximum 4.99% which will include caring for the young and vulnerable elderly.
WC is seeking comments on the Maxcroft Farm planning application by Barratt Developments. HAAG (a committee of the parish council) is planning to encourage as many public comments as possible. Please see my web site for more details.
