Just a quick reminder that the temporary 30mph speed limit along Elizabeth Way IS legally enforceable.
I understand that the police carry out regular speed checks and have found them to be "Of use" i.e. they are catching speeding motorists.
Unlike Community Speed Watch, which results in a warning letter, the police checks can result in a £100 fine and three points on your licence.
Anyone caught driving at an 'excessive' speed can find themselves in court looking at an immediate ban as well as a fine and penalty points.
The temporary limit currently runs until the 1st November.
