!50 more new homes for Paxcroft Mead?
More houses are planned for the 'H8' site.
The application is recommended for permission with 25 conditions and two notes to the applicant. In addition,it would be subject to a legal agreement to get contributions to affordable housing, school places, sports and open space provision, highway improvements etc.
The only way into the development would be through the existing road network on Paxcroft Mead, so every car and lorry would finish up using Leapgate.
The first revision of the WWDC District Plan identified 'H8' as being suitable for 230 houses. As current construction accounts for 187 homes it will be interesting to see how the planning officers can justify all the extra houses.
